Promote with Purpose: Self Promotion The Right Way [Interview with Eleni Dracakis]
Self-promotion is often associated with bragging or arrogance. However, being able to talk about yourself in a clear, concise, and, of course, confident manner is often what sets you apart and gets you chosen over someone else.
Can it feel icky to put yourself in the spotlight? Absolutely. But it doesn't have to. I always say: skills to succeed in the 21st century are equal - technical skills as well as the ability to brand, market and see yourself. And this is exactly what we want to show you in this week’s episode where we dive deep into the aspects of self-promotion, exploring how to communicate your achievements, skills, and goals without feeling icky or inauthentic. We’re joined by someone who I’ve known for nearly 10 years when we were both working at the same agency.
Eleni Dracakis is this week’s guest - she is a business psychologist and works with companies and leaders reach their fullest potential. Since we met initially ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, so self-promotion is a key element in staying in business.
However, we are not only covering what it takes to use self-promotion the right way to gain new clients but also how to do it the right way in the corporate world, whether it be to secure that next promotion, gain buy-in for your projects, or simply make your mark in a competitive environment.
Eleni shares her invaluable and very tactical insights and experiences in balancing the fine art of self-promotion, both as an entrepreneur and in the corporate world.
